Character Backstory / History:
Benedict, or as I like to refer to him as, Benny, was a soul lost within the Rukongai. Before he was within Soul Society, he was the son of a large company owner. He was a slight off in the fact that he never showed or felt emotions in the slightest. He was at the top of his world with anything he wanted being handed to him. It, quite frankly, made him bored. He took to being a rouge child. He wanted some excitement; so within his life he got it, but at a price. The price, as you could probably have guessed it with how these matters go, was his death at the hands of someone he was hunting. IT was a quick death, one shot to the heart from behind. The ironic thought about his death was that he was always called 'heartless' by both his family and those around him.
Within the Rukongai his personality never changed from when he was alive. Certain that he was forever stuck within Soul Society, he began to do what he knew: take to the streets and be the mercenary he knew himself to be. Years went by and he trained until his spirit levels grew to the point of him getting noticed by the Soul Reapers. However, he turned them down with the cold grace he had. He found them boring; he found most life boring honestly. He lived on the edges of most of the rukongai villages, never bringing himself to live among those he didn't care for. Benedict never cared for anyone; he still doesn't. Throughout the first years within Soul Society, he took on jobs though most people questioned why such a young man would take such a dark turn in his life. To Benny, he didn't think much of his sociopathic tendencies. He felt he was 'normal' and everyone else was just 'off'.
It wasn't until about 100 years later that he finally joined the 13 Court Guard squads. His reasons were mysterious, even to his squad mates and the captains. For someone with his reputation and skills, he should have just stayed away like he had. To be honest, his reasons were more for himself rather than saving the souls and leading them to Soul Society like most of the Shinigami were lead to do. He wished to bath his sword in blood and sate the desire to kill deep within him. Benny kept his reasons for joining to himself; thus he avoided all of the black marks upon his already dark reputation. A few years went by and he climbed up the ladder within the 2nd division till he gained the Lieutenant position under the captain at the time. He held together his more sociopathic personality by hiding it behind a more charming outside. He kept others from seeing the true Benedict Church for years.
The civil war came and with it came Benedict and his calling. Mercenary work. Central 46 hired him to do their dirty work. Benedict is a neutral minded person, so really it came down to the highest bidder winning him over for the time being. Basically turning his back on the 13 Squads, he killed and hunted down anyone that Central 46 told him to. He gained little favor in both sides, but he didn't care since it was a job and he got paid for his services. To Benedict, either side bored him. To him, they didn't matter in the larger scheme of things. He killed a great many people within the war. For 450 years he worked through the war to kill, to make a great bloody path through Soul Society. However, after his use was done with due to Central 46 failing as the war wound to a close, he cut himself free (quite literally), and went on his way to disappear from Soul Society.
500 years went by, the civil war done with. Benedict is now a rouge shinigami due to his betrayal. When he once was the Lieutenant for the 2nd division, he now is once again a mercenary. He has drifted within the Rukongai until the opening between worlds was once again working. He slipped through at the last second and went to the world of the living. He worked as a mercenary there for a little while, but then took to being a serial killer when that got too boring. He goes between the worlds secretly, though now he is in Soul Society for a bit until something fun emerges once again.

Zanpaktou Inner World: Benny's inner world takes place in an old village much like the one he grew up in. The forest around the village is sparse, very little trees populate directly around the buildings that are there. The village consists of all one level houses that have no doors to them. The houses themselves are run down, but maintain an air of stability about them. Some of the houses are burned, but not destroyed due to his zanpakto's destructive nature and personality. The grass around the buildings is spars, but the more Benny walks out farther away from the buildings towards the forest, the grass begins to get greener and thicker, however random spots on the ground have bare patches which are also burned. The village isn't just in that small area, it is scattered around the seemingly vast forest area around. The sky above is blue with clouds in the sky, the sun shines bright as well.
On a normal basis, the temperature of the inner world is more akin to 90 degree whether, the zanpakto liking the hot temperature rather than cool temps. When Benny is calm and collected, the inner world is calm and the weather is very much clear skies. The temperature would be, again, around 90 degrees or so. However, when Benny is upset (which is rare, unless you really have a talent for it), the world turns rainy. The clouds in the sky would grow thicker and darker as the light within his world grows dim. Enraged, the world takes a more dangerous turn. Fire begins to burst in random spots around the inner world and begin to burn the world down.
Zanpaktou Spirit Appearance: Shi No Maebure takes the manifested form of a man who looks to be about early twenties. His body build makes it seem that he isn't very muscular when he's wearing his clothes, but underneath he is very well toned as well as has a slight muscular build. He has short black hair; very short in the back while the front stays somewhat long enough for the spirit to have longish bangs. White/blue tips color the spirits hair. The color of the spirits eyes are a blue, almost white color. In terms of clothing, Shi No Maebure wears black pants with black shoes. His coat is black with a high neck cover that ends up covering his neck all the time. There his a hood that Shi No Maebure wears often even when it is very hot within his inner world. The hood has white fur around the edges. Often times he'll be seen wearing the hood just because he wants to, not because it serves any real function. Shi No Maebure wears black leather gloves that cover his entire hands. The spirits face is covered on the lower part by bandages, making it impossible to read his face at just a glance. The spirits skin tone is pale. No real part of Shi No Maebure's body can be seen since it is all covered in some shape or form by something. His face is only the real sight one can view what might be underneath his layers. What is really underneath the zanpakto's clothes is something Benny has only seen twice within his time with his zanpakto. Burns cover the spirits muscled chest as well as his arms. Black runes cover his shoulders and right side of his body. A large sun symbol is tattooed on the zanpakto's lower right hip.
Personality wise, Shi No Maebure is quite calm like his master, but holds deeper and more passionate emotions underneath the front he puts up on regular days. He is level headed, unlike how his master can be sometimes, and ends up being the more logical side to his master when in battle as well as social situations. More than once Benny has told his zanpakto to "loosen up", but the spirit always sighs and waves away his master with disinterest. More often than not, the spirit will be seen just staring at the sky within its world. Nao has more than once tried to figure out the inner mind of his zanpakto, but the spirit always ends up glaring and telling Benny that he doesn't need to know unnecessary information like that. The spirit has habits that end up making Benny wonder what the hell is going on within that head of his zanpakto's. Shi No Maebure likes to burn things with his fire; oftentimes it is flowers or a tree, but sometimes he goes further and burns up the buildings within the world he inhabits. Nao hasn't figure out of it's just boredom or he honestly can't go without burning something. Another habit of Shi No Maebure is to talk to Benny at pretty much any time it suits the spirit, even if it doesn't work out well for Benny. Despite being pretty anti-social, the spirit does give Bennyo excellent advice and tips along the way. When the spirit is fighting, however, a whole other side to the spirit comes out that is much similar to how Benny is in battle. The spirit will fight just about anyone and everyone who comes into battle with it.
Shikai Release Phrase: Reign in Hell, Shi No Maebure~! (Jigoku de chisei, Shi No Maebure~!)
Shikai Appearance: Shi No Maebure takes the form of two swords. The first being a Katana of about 45 inches in length from blade tip to hilt end. The first katana has a black sheath around the blade. The design on the sheath is plain black, but has a metal sun symbol on a small thin chain that hangs off the black circular guard. The next sword for the sealed state is a shorter sword that is about 38 inches in length from blade tip to hilt end. This sword has the same matching plain black sheath, but a small sun symbol is printed on the very top of the sheath in white. The hilts of both swords are a deep scarlet red with white underlying cloth. Both swords have a black circular guard. However, on the end of the shortest of the two blades, is a broken black chain about 6 inches in length.

Description: This ability changes both the color and type of flames that come from Nao's zanpakto. Like Hellfire, Benny charges his zanpakto with his reitsu, but this time he concentrates it so that it is more stable as well as hotter. Black flames start to form on the blade as Nao brings the sword up and swings it in whatever way he needs to, the dark flames will consume and keep consuming whatever they touch. This ability takes about 15% of his spiritual power due to him having to use more and focus more of it into his zanpakto. The post count for this ability lasts up to 2 post counts. Flames can go away at the will of Nao.

Anyone or anything that comes into contact with the flame walls would begin to burn up from the high temperatures that come from the flames. This ability takes about 15% of his spiritual power and can last up to 2 post counts.

Description: This ability allows Benny to attack with compressed balls of fire at his opponents. He does this first by making a small circle of compressed spiritual pressure in the air in front of him by moving his sword in a small circle. The reitsu is so charged within the circle that Benny only has to punch the circle and a fire ball of compressed reitsu comes shooting out towards the opponent. He is able to use any part of his body to punch, tap, or flick the circles to send the fire balls out. This ability takes about 10% of Nao's reitsu and lasts up to one post count since it is all rapid fire shooting.
