Character Goals: Prove her innocence so that people stop treating her like one of the traitors and enjoy what time she has even though she fears it's limited with the suspicions people have about her.
Character Backstory / History:
One hundred years before the start of the war, confidential documents were stolen from the 12th division. The documents stolen were the very ones that captain had written in detail to explain how his daughter came to be as his wife was barren. Using this documentation, the cultists that had taken over the Central 46 began their move. They performed experiments using the DNA of several founding members of the Gotei. In the end, there was one success however he had no power of his own. This made their scientists review the notes to see what had gone wrong. Thirty years before hell would break loose they had an idea but this idea needed a fresh sample of blood from Xiao Demizu herself. To gather this sample they sent one assassin and one "clean up" crew. News spread quickly of Xiao's attack and near death but while the attacker was subdued, no one noticed the blade that he had used was missing. With the sample of fresh blood they then used the same sample they'd used for their success to create another. However they did something different this time. They wanted someone that could resist the blood manipulation of Xiao and so created a concoction that was injected into her bloodstream as a baby. The mixture was supposed to blend with her blood and yet it didn't. Instead it became a massive failure and they estimated that she would die within a few years. Because she was initially deemed a failure even as a baby, they stripped a fragment of the power that would one day be hers to control and gave it to the boy they had created prior. She would grow up calling him brother.
At a young age Rin was already eating like the shinigami in the Seireitei. That was when they decided to make their failure an asset rather then disposing of her. For the next few years, her training would be harsh and deadly. Every attack she failed to dodge left a new scar on her body or nearly killed her. While they trained her, they would teach her the things that they believed she needed to know and in turn grew to despise the current regime in the Seireitei especially Xiao in particular. Fifteen years before the start of the war, Rin would train with one of the lesser members of their council. Every word he spoke made her angrier. Her anger filled slow and cold before she snapped. When she did, the man did not last long as he had become a smear on the wall, every bone remained broken on the floor. It was the first time she had tapped into her power and they were going to make her learn it and learn it well. Every day from then on was life or death for Rin. Once they felt comfortable enough with her power and her loyalty, they sent her to the academy the year before the war would unfold.
Her presence in the academy did not go unnoticed however. Her power and appearance drew the attention of one of the teachers and he brought the information to Xiao. After the information had been confirmed, the next thing Rin knew was that there was "routine testing done to make certain she was healthy." At least that was the story she had been told and that was the reason she willingly complied. What she did not know, was that it was the captain of the twelfth that was testing her blood and looking for something in particular. Once testing was complete, she resumed her studies as a "normal" student, the results ending up on the desk of Xiao Demizu. The tests did in fact confirm that Rin was biologically her daughter. It was soon after that Rin would be called to the council room of the Central 46 as Xiao was appealing to them for custody of her. With the evidence that Xiao had it was impossible for them to deny the request without appearing suspicious. So they granted the request, knowing that they had potentially lost one of their commanders and that it was a blow to their forces. With that request granted, Xiao had officially adopted Rin into her family as her daughter.
Soon after, Rin had been in class when hell broke loose. The academy was being attacked by the people that had helped raise her and train her. It felt like a massive betrayal even though they appealed to her to rejoin them. Instead of joining in the destruction of the world as they knew it, Rin bought time for the students to flee. There was one student though that was stupid enough to stay behind and it would nearly cost them both their lives. The next morning, one of the teachers found her in the rubble of the collapsed academy and brought her to the Fourth division to be healed. While Rin was incapacitated, the teacher had sent a message to her mother just to let her know that Rin and the other students survived.
By the time Rin was released from the Fourth, she was instructed strictly by their Captain to hand her mother a letter. The letter would encompass the type of rehab she would need in order to finish healing. After giving her mother the letter, she began training once more, the lessons tailored to help her recover and to teach her. It was just after the beginning of her training when the Twelfth division captain stopped by with a newborn in his arms and a back on his back. He explained everything to Xiao, even giving her the bag. It seemed that now, Rin had a sister. Years after Lhin was brought to the household, Rin would begin training with her. It didn't take long for Lhin to catch on her style and eventually defeat her.
About a hundred and fifty years into the war, Rin would receive the news of Xiao's attack. Instead of going to visit her mother she went to the site of the attack and investigated it. Anyone nearby would quickly become afraid as Rin had reached a new level of pissed. Any and every enemy she came across, she had tried to rip information from and when that failed they were disposed of in rather gruesome fashions. Each worse than the last. It wasn't until she joined Lhin on the battlefield that she cooled off. There was something she had known about that attack that she could not afford to allow anyone else to know. Although they defeated the last commander, there was still one person left that could reignite the flames.
Though the war was over and Rin was now aiding Lhin as her lieutenant....things were just beginning.

Due to this, she speaks to others properly, even if her comments are insults they are disguised as backhanded complements. Rin is cautious of the thoughts and feelings of others even if she does not quite understand them herself. As such, she is the person who will attempt to break bad news lightly and seem puzzled when people act on their emotions.
Around most people, Rin is a thoughtful, quiet individual with a sharp tongue. However around the rare person that she trusts, she will allow her defenses to come down just a bit, her own emotions easy to read and yet foreign to her. In general though, Rin acts as though she respects everyone. The key word being 'acts'. The only people she truly respects being those who have earned it and those who she cares for.
Now when watching Rin in combat, it is essentially as if a switch had been flipped. Her usual self gone, being replaced by someone sadistic and calculating. Her movements in combat are calculated as are any words she speaks. Her biggest weakness being someone slamming her in the face with her emotions.

Fighting Style:
Rin's style is straightforward and direct. She does not care for evasive maneuvers unless the attack being launched at her would be deemed lethal. In a sense, her style is designed to slowly sap the strength of an enemy before completely beating them down. If one watches carefully, the first thing they would notice is that she relies heavily on the use of her powers rather than anything else usually. Her second option aside from her powers is her blade and both strategies are very much obvious however it is how she uses them both that takes people by surprise

The sheath is a deep blue in color, almost echoing that of the ocean the way the color shifts in light. Along the sheath are blackened accents that fit and yet seem out of place all at once. After her power is unlocked and there is no longer darkness present, the colors will shift ever so slightly. The black in the hilt will be replaced by silver and gold will be threaded through the fabric instead of silver. The sheath will lose the blackened quality of the accents and be replaced by silver with flecks of gold adorning it.
Zanpaktou Inner World:
The inner world of Tsukuyomi is set in a hue of red. The sky a clear cloudless scarlet and the moon a bright crimson with accents of white and black for depth. The ground however appears to be an endless valley lost in a flood. Fragments of any building broken and barely seen. The water, carrying such a deep dark hue of red that it isn't certain if it is truly water or if it is the blood of those who have fallen. Though after the loss of a fragment of her power and regaining her original state, the inner world shifts to that of a crystal clear lake, the time of day and weather changing based on her emotions. The world no longer painted a deep red and colored naturally.

Tsukuyomi is a female spirit, often seen walking on the water of the inner world, leaving ripples where she treads. Her hair is long and pale blue but dyed black within the inner world's current appearance, falling to mid thigh. Her eyes a deep blue gold, shifting with the light and her emotions. Her attire a midnight blue sleeveless dress with long matching fingerless gloves, having highlights of gold and violet. Adorning her head is a veil that matches the dress. However the color of her dress fades to white after the loss of darkness and the highlights become a blue that matches her hair. Her eyes then containing a faint undertone of gold to them.

Enrage the Storm (Arashi o gekido sa seru : 嵐を激怒させる)
Shikai Appearance:
Currently, her blade appears as a black blade with blue highlights. Along the hilt there is a slot designed to help separate a smaller yet equally dangerous blade. In comparison, the normal blade is approximately the size of a standard wakizashi and the smaller blade, the size of a tanto. Later once her true power is revealed, her blade will show its ocean blue hues mixed with faint patterns of lightning that dance on the color of the blade itself. The hilt even shifting to be the violet of lightning.
Shikai Abilities:
Cursed Blade: This is one of the default abilities of this sword and is passive in nature. Any and all wounds inflicted by this blade will continue to bleed as long as shikai state is active and will be unable to be healed during that time. The reason for that being that blood is a form of water and her blade is gradually drawing the water from the body out through those wounds, weakening the person afflicted. Heart of Darkness: TEMPORARY/PLOT A passive ability triggered when her blade kills an enemy. When this blade deals the killing strike, it will absorb any malice and darkness within the victim's heart for later use. This ability is due to the concoction injected into her veins as a child and is slowly corrupting he bloodstream, killing her just as slowly. Furthermore, every ounce of darkness absorbed is also transferred to the corrupted fluid in her blood.
Ocean's Tide: The first default ability of this sword, allowing each strike or swing of the blade to deal water damage. This ability also allows its wielder to manipulate water within a 300 foot (the length of a football field) radius. The water manipulation property of this ability is also usable in the sealed state. This ability allows her to not only manipulate the water but effect it's density, force, and flow. In being able to effect those qualities, she can even stop a blade if able to time it correctly.
Thunder Rain: LOCKED/PLOT The true second ability of her zanpakuto. This ability allows her to manipulate the ionic charge in the atmosphere, in objects, and in the water she manipulates within 300 feet. In essence, it allows her to manipulate electricity at it's base core to electrify her water, her blade, or use the electricity itself as a weapon.
Bankai Release Phrase:
Raging Storm Wash All Away With The Tide (Subete hanarete shio to arashi no senjō o arekuruimasu : すべて離れて潮と嵐の洗浄を荒れ狂います)
Bankai Appearance:
After the phrase leaves her lips along with the word Bankai, the weather in the general vicinity turns into a torrential downpour. The water around Rin enveloping her and hardening before washing away to reveal oxidized silver plated armor with blue highlights., almost akin to that of a dark knight. Her blade would remain the same however she would now gain near perfect control of the water in the atmosphere, in the ground, and water in general within 600 feet. Though after the shift in her zanpakuto, her armor would no longer appear oxidized and would change slightly. Her armor would be easier to move in and yet remain just as durable if not more so. This time designed more towards defensive capabilities than offensive ones.
Bankai Abilities:
Nightmare Torrent: In Bankai, Rin is capable of manipulating the water in the atmosphere to darken the sky and create a torrential downpour within a massive thunderstorm. This ability lasts so long as her bankai is active, the amount of rain pouring from the sky representative of how long her bankai can stay active for. As the rain begins to lessen, her bankai will slowly lose its power before fading away.
Regeneration: In simple terms, Rin's bankai is capable of regenerating any part of it that is damaged or broken by using water in the surrounding area.
Tsunami's Wrath: By draining the water from the surrounding area, Rin can use it to create a single devastating Tidal wave with a strike of her blade. This ability is destructive in nature, washing away everything in its path. Currently, the use of this technique will force her out of bankai state. (usable once per thread)
Cursed Warrior: Once per battle, Rin is able to create a lifelike clone using water. As it is created from the water, it is able to mimic the abilities of her bankai and is realistic enough that it can appear to bleed.
Darkness Wave: TEMPORARY/PLOT This ability is triggered when Rin streaks her own blood down the blade of her zanpakutou, causing it to emanate an eerie red-black aura rather than it's usual silver aura. By using all the stored malice and darkness from those who have fallen victim to this blade, she can release a wave of reiatsu and pure darkness similar to Getsuga Tensho in a single strike.
Black Beast: TEMPORARY/PLOT Similar to Darkness Wave, this ability is triggered in the same fashion however it simply makes her blade strike with darkness instead of water. While this ability is active, this blade can deal damage to a shadow in order to deal damage to the owner of the shadow (unable to kill someone like that). Furthermore, it gradually absorbs the darkness in the surrounding area to make itself stronger, including the darkness in a person and darkness in reiatsu.
Weaknesses of your Zanpaktou: Any and all darkness based abilities aid in killing her faster when she uses them. She has yet to unlock the electricity portion of her power and currently is severely weak to electrical based techniques. Once unlocked, she will need to learn how to not electrocute herself as she will be manipulating them both simultaneously until she learns to separate the attributes.

The declaration of war rang through the air and in that moment, time stood still as buildings began to crumble. Not even the Academy was safe from the winds of war as holes were blasted through the roof by five shinigami led by him. Looking up at the intruders, Rin had decided here and now that this was the final straw. Silently forsaking her name, Rin called out to the others to run.
And run they did. Panic ensued. Only those who were capable of fighting stayed while the others attempted to evacuate. While the teachers were busy with the four causing the most damage, the leader stopped before Rin. "You don't need to die here Sister. We have bigger plans for you." She had known full well what those plans were. She had known from the day she was born and yet it was now, in this moment that she chose to fight the tides of fate. Drawing her sword, she pointed it at her brother...no he was no longer her brother. He was the enemy. "I follow no one's orders. Not even Father's." This was her own declaration of war. She was to be no one's weapon unless it was her own.
The clash of metal rang with each strike the siblings launched at each other. Knowing each others strengths and weaknesses as he had been the one to train her. With the teachers beginning to fall around them, Rin asked her zanpakuto to lend her its strength. In her heart, she could hear her zanpakutou's instructions and so the last attack began. Her brother charged at her with his lightning coated blade as she rested a hand on her bleeding side. In a split moment, she moved, streaking her blood down the blade and swinging it at her brother to unleash a blow even he could not evade. Currently, her blade appears as a black blade with blue highlights. Along the hilt there is a slot designed to help separate a smaller yet equally dangerous blade. In comparison, the normal blade is approximately the size of a standard wakizashi and the smaller blade, the size of a tanto. Later once her true power is revealed, her blade will show its ocean blue hues mixed with faint patterns of lightning that dance on the color of the blade itself. The hilt even shifting to be the violet of lightning.
Shikai Abilities:
Cursed Blade: This is one of the default abilities of this sword and is passive in nature. Any and all wounds inflicted by this blade will continue to bleed as long as shikai state is active and will be unable to be healed during that time. The reason for that being that blood is a form of water and her blade is gradually drawing the water from the body out through those wounds, weakening the person afflicted. Heart of Darkness: TEMPORARY/PLOT A passive ability triggered when her blade kills an enemy. When this blade deals the killing strike, it will absorb any malice and darkness within the victim's heart for later use. This ability is due to the concoction injected into her veins as a child and is slowly corrupting he bloodstream, killing her just as slowly. Furthermore, every ounce of darkness absorbed is also transferred to the corrupted fluid in her blood.
Ocean's Tide: The first default ability of this sword, allowing each strike or swing of the blade to deal water damage. This ability also allows its wielder to manipulate water within a 300 foot (the length of a football field) radius. The water manipulation property of this ability is also usable in the sealed state. This ability allows her to not only manipulate the water but effect it's density, force, and flow. In being able to effect those qualities, she can even stop a blade if able to time it correctly.
Thunder Rain: LOCKED/PLOT The true second ability of her zanpakuto. This ability allows her to manipulate the ionic charge in the atmosphere, in objects, and in the water she manipulates within 300 feet. In essence, it allows her to manipulate electricity at it's base core to electrify her water, her blade, or use the electricity itself as a weapon.
Bankai Release Phrase:
Raging Storm Wash All Away With The Tide (Subete hanarete shio to arashi no senjō o arekuruimasu : すべて離れて潮と嵐の洗浄を荒れ狂います)
Bankai Appearance:
After the phrase leaves her lips along with the word Bankai, the weather in the general vicinity turns into a torrential downpour. The water around Rin enveloping her and hardening before washing away to reveal oxidized silver plated armor with blue highlights., almost akin to that of a dark knight. Her blade would remain the same however she would now gain near perfect control of the water in the atmosphere, in the ground, and water in general within 600 feet. Though after the shift in her zanpakuto, her armor would no longer appear oxidized and would change slightly. Her armor would be easier to move in and yet remain just as durable if not more so. This time designed more towards defensive capabilities than offensive ones.
Bankai Abilities:
Nightmare Torrent: In Bankai, Rin is capable of manipulating the water in the atmosphere to darken the sky and create a torrential downpour within a massive thunderstorm. This ability lasts so long as her bankai is active, the amount of rain pouring from the sky representative of how long her bankai can stay active for. As the rain begins to lessen, her bankai will slowly lose its power before fading away.
Regeneration: In simple terms, Rin's bankai is capable of regenerating any part of it that is damaged or broken by using water in the surrounding area.
Tsunami's Wrath: By draining the water from the surrounding area, Rin can use it to create a single devastating Tidal wave with a strike of her blade. This ability is destructive in nature, washing away everything in its path. Currently, the use of this technique will force her out of bankai state. (usable once per thread)
Cursed Warrior: Once per battle, Rin is able to create a lifelike clone using water. As it is created from the water, it is able to mimic the abilities of her bankai and is realistic enough that it can appear to bleed.
Darkness Wave: TEMPORARY/PLOT This ability is triggered when Rin streaks her own blood down the blade of her zanpakutou, causing it to emanate an eerie red-black aura rather than it's usual silver aura. By using all the stored malice and darkness from those who have fallen victim to this blade, she can release a wave of reiatsu and pure darkness similar to Getsuga Tensho in a single strike.
Black Beast: TEMPORARY/PLOT Similar to Darkness Wave, this ability is triggered in the same fashion however it simply makes her blade strike with darkness instead of water. While this ability is active, this blade can deal damage to a shadow in order to deal damage to the owner of the shadow (unable to kill someone like that). Furthermore, it gradually absorbs the darkness in the surrounding area to make itself stronger, including the darkness in a person and darkness in reiatsu.
Weaknesses of your Zanpaktou: Any and all darkness based abilities aid in killing her faster when she uses them. She has yet to unlock the electricity portion of her power and currently is severely weak to electrical based techniques. Once unlocked, she will need to learn how to not electrocute herself as she will be manipulating them both simultaneously until she learns to separate the attributes.

The declaration of war rang through the air and in that moment, time stood still as buildings began to crumble. Not even the Academy was safe from the winds of war as holes were blasted through the roof by five shinigami led by him. Looking up at the intruders, Rin had decided here and now that this was the final straw. Silently forsaking her name, Rin called out to the others to run.
And run they did. Panic ensued. Only those who were capable of fighting stayed while the others attempted to evacuate. While the teachers were busy with the four causing the most damage, the leader stopped before Rin. "You don't need to die here Sister. We have bigger plans for you." She had known full well what those plans were. She had known from the day she was born and yet it was now, in this moment that she chose to fight the tides of fate. Drawing her sword, she pointed it at her brother...no he was no longer her brother. He was the enemy. "I follow no one's orders. Not even Father's." This was her own declaration of war. She was to be no one's weapon unless it was her own.
The clash of metal rang with each strike the siblings launched at each other. Knowing each others strengths and weaknesses as he had been the one to train her. With the teachers beginning to fall around them, Rin asked her zanpakuto to lend her its strength. Once again caught in a dance of blades with her brother, Rin nearly fell when he used shikai, its lightning power too great for her to combat alone.
Seeming as if all was lost as the walls around them began to collapse. One of the fights outside starting to spill into the vicinity. Captain Zaraki. His power was so great that just him unleashing his reiatsu crumbled the stone. With the ever weakening building surrounding Rin and her brother, she vowed to be the one to take him out even if it killed her. In her heart, she could hear her zanpakutou's instructions and so the last attack began. Her brother charged at her with his lightning coated blade as she rested a hand on her bleeding side. In a split moment, she moved, streaking her blood down the blade and swinging it at her brother to unleash a blow even he could not evade. Unfortunately, she did not stay conscious long enough to see if she had killed her brother. With her strike, the wall closest to the both of them lost what stability it had left and came crashing down. Her vision slowly fading to black as her mind wondered if this was the end.
