So the Quincy rankings seem a bit odd, yes, but there is a method to this Soul's madness. Since the Quincy are put into the german language, most of their rankings and whatnot are too, so that is where the names for the ranks are from. I intended to make the rankings as easy as possible to avoid confusion. To further help y'all, I made this. Please read carefully and if you have questions please ask Soul Zero , or if you cannot reach me, please ask Svbguy .
In order from highest rank to the lowest with numbers for how many can each attain such rank as well:
KAISER: (Taken) This rank is the head of all Quincy and only 1 may attain this rank as this is equivalent to the Captain Commander position of the shinigami. The current Kaiser is Ren Kagurazaki and she is located within Karakura as that is where the bloodline for the throne has been steady and first started the Order of the Holy Cross. Should Renko not attain an heir in time or she dies before she can make one, the next in her family line takes the throne.
RITTER: (nobility)This rank is the rank below Kaiser and is the equivalent of Captain class within the shinigami ranks. The number of members who can attain this rank is 1 per country. This rank answers to the Kaiser of the Quincy and protects the humans, souls, and quincy of that country along with carrying out orders of the Kaiser to their jager and other Quincy within their country. German for nobility. They are the leaders for the countries that they are in. They all ultimately report back to the Kaiser. They are also in charge of the well-being of the Quincy in their area and have to make sure that all hollow activity is in check. The only Ritter who doesn't directly have control of their area is the Karakura Town Ritter. The Kaiser, who has taken residence there, has kept up the duties along with the Ritter there.
SCHUTZ: (protector) this rank is equivalent to lieutenant. They are under their Ritter. There can only be 2 per country. They help the Ritter carry out their duties as well as help protect their country.
JAGER: (hunter) This rank is the lowest in the Order of the Holy Cross and are the hunters of hollows and answer to both their respective Ritter and the Kaiser. Their power ranking is equivalent to that of a normal shinigami squad member. The number of members who can attain this rank are limitless. Their duties include hunting hollows and protecting the humans and quincy within their country. "Hunter" in German. They are the Quincy under the Ritter. They are regular Quincy who goes on hunting trips with their Ritter or in teams of other Jagers (or even the Kaiser). They are charged with keeping the countries of theirs safe.
